2021 Youth Summit COVID-19 Changes & Modifications:
Students who are feeling unwell will be asked to stay home.
Hands will be washed frequently and hand sanitizer used regularly, especially if soap and water aren't available.
Stay in assigned locations until direction is given by staff to maximize social distancing.
Masks required for all activities
Physical distancing will be used for activities
Students will be housed in rooms which host 1 student per room.
Meals will be eaten outdoors or socially distanced indoors if inclement weather occurs
Social distance measures will be taken on the bus.

The safety of our participants, staff, and partners is our utmost priority. We have activated an Incident Response Team dedicated to addressing the impact of COVID-19 on our organization.
Corpus Christi, Brownsville, King Ranch, TX | Starting Tuesday June 27th, the Texas Preserve America Youth Summit will host 65 middle and high school students, from across the state, in an effort to take on the challenges of keeping historic places relevant for the next generation. While visiting Padre Island National Seashore, Palo Alto Battlefield National Historical Park, and King Ranch National Historic Landmark students will get to meet with park managers and advocates to learn the history of the area and use their voice to help elevate the importance of youth involvement in the growth of the area.
